Introduction

Dosa is a crispy and savory Indian pancake made from fermented rice and lentil batter. Here’s a guide to mastering this South Indian delicacy

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 cup urad dal (split black gram)
  • 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Oil (for cooking)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Batter: Soak rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds separately for 6 hours. Grind them into a smooth batter, mix, and ferment overnight.
  2. Cook the Dosa: Heat a non-stick pan. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it thinly. Drizzle oil around the edges and cook until crispy.
  3. Serve: Serve hot dosas with coconut chutney and sambar.
